TDL announces their collaboration as a distributor for Airdri SteraSpace

As innovators in research, development and technology consultancy, The Digital Line (TDL) are pleased to have aligned themselves with Airdri, leaders in the design and manufacture of washroom equipment.

The Airdri SteraSpace range is the most advanced virus and bacteria control system of its kind and today’s announcement confirms TDL as a key distributor of the product range in the UK and throughout Europe.

The combined technologies of specialist UV and Photocatalytic Disinfection (PCD) has been proven to kill the Coronavirus family, continually circulating clean, purified air, 24 hours a day.

TDL already have a proven track record working in care homes and as one of the most vulnerable sectors affected by the COVID-19 breakout, the Airdri SteraSpace provides many benefits.

“We immediately saw the potential of this technology, not only in the care home sector but also in many other areas of business, with its quick and efficient ability to remove harmful viruses and bacteria in the air and on all exposed surfaces,” says Andrew Ramshaw, Operations Director of TDL.

“The Airdri SteraSpace runs continually 24/7, 365 days a year, giving peace of mind in areas of continuous occupation like care homes, waiting rooms, hair salons, dental surgeries and all retail establishments.”

The science behind the technology is simple. The air around us contains micro-organisms – viruses, bacteria, moulds, and fungi. Viruses and bacteria breed quickly and need to be treated at the source to stop them from spreading and eliminate any unpleasant odours that may occur.

Unhealthy, viruses and bacteria in the air can also encourage the growth of mould and spread infection. The targeted Ozone, produced via the specialist lamp in the SteraSpace unit, gets to the hardest to reach areas, breaking down contamination in the air and on all exposed surfaces. Ozone damages the cell-wall of micro-organisms, preventing reproduction and destroying the cell, whilst giving the user continuous protection.

“We all wish to protect ourselves, our families and our loved ones,” says Andy Coney, Commercial Director of TDL. “This has certainly been a game-changer in my eyes.

“As you can appreciate, hygiene is a high priority in our personal space, with two teenage boys of my own, it can be challenging to keep track of what surfaces, doorknobs and handles have been wiped down on a daily basis.

“Tests carried out at Porton Down, Science Park has proven that the Airdri SteraSpace kills 98.11% of all airborne and surface bacteria and viruses, which puts my mind at rest that we are covering all bases regarding the health and wellbeing of not just my family but anyone at risk.

“As a company, we are continually searching for forward-thinking tech and how it can be useful to our community. Airdri appears to be the right product at this time of crisis to help us in the battle to sanitise the spaces we all inhabit on a regular basis.

”In the following weeks, we will be sharing the results we have found from our Airdri case studies in numerous selection of outlets.”
