ROTHBURY HOUSE – Northumberland
The Digital Line (TDL) is supporting Rothbury House to provide safe, independent living accommodation for more people in the RAF community.
The RAF Association is converting 26 rooms at Rothbury House in Northumberland into high-quality retirement homes for people who have served in the RAF and the spouses, widows, and widowers of RAF veterans. As renovation work is completed to the first 16 rooms, TDL, as part of a long-term “Tech for Good” strategy, has worked with the Association to implement tech-driven initiatives into the newly finished rooms at Rothbury House.

ROYAL GARDEN HOTEL – Bognor Regis
‘When it came in, the tech changed everything’
The Royal Garden is a purpose-built residential hotel situated in Aldwick, near Bognor Regis, and in a prime position overlooking the Marine Park Gardens and the seafront. TDL’s relationship with the home is one of our longest-standing partnerships and we have trialled several unique programs here using Amazon and Samsung technology.
TDL’s Audio Book Club proved a big hit when it was launched at The Royal Garden Hotel and we followed this up with the Show Me Rooms, connecting residents and their loved ones through Amazon’s video technology. Owner Julian Lindsall said, “During the pandemic, this technology was a real godsend.”

Donnington House is dedicated to both residential and nursing care, offering peace of mind to adults with care needs and their loved ones thanks to a skilled and compassionate team. The home provides accommodation, supervision from staff 24 hours a day, meals and help with personal care needs.
TDL’s relationship with Donnington House saw the foundation of a unique research program, CREATIVE.
Communicating Real-time Efficient Activities & Transforming Innovative Valued Engagement.
This study delivered detailed results as part of a six-month study with the home and The Digital Line.

HAMPTON CARE – Hampton
“Alexa changed everything for us”
Hampton Care was the first technology deployment for The Digital Line in the residential care space and remains one of the projects we are most proud of as an organisation. Working with a group of dedicated carers and really engaging residents helped us to prove that technology really could work for anyone, regardless of their situation, and helped lay the groundwork for many of our latest applications today.
Installing Amazon Voice-activated speakers into the rooms of elderly residents in care delivered a whole new experience both for the users and the staff, who saw it contribute towards an improvement of overall operations and services.
TDL continues to work with Amazon to deliver more creative, voice-driven projects.

LYNDE HOUSE – Twickenham
“Technology connecting the most vulnerable”
Lynde House is part of the Barchester Healthcare Group, and since its opening in 2004, it has been providing high-quality nursing care and support for people with sensory disabilities. Set within beautiful gardens and vistas and located in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames, the home also boasts elegant dining facilities and lounges and has a wide range of programs focused on resident health, well-being, exercise, and nutrition.
The Digital Line (TDL) has been working with Lynde House to provide technology through the innovative Flip Screens from Samsung. In addition, we have been working with the Brighter Together Group to help facilitate video calling between residents and nursery children using the latest technology.
TDL has also rolled out Amazon Alexa, voice-activated devices, and other sensory applications for smart experiences, including The Optimist and MyHudson.

THE BRIDGE GROUP- Bonny-sur-Loire, France
“If success is measured in smiles we are ecstatic”
The Les Jardins de la Loire residence is part of the 12-home Bridge Group and is located in the town of Bonnie-sur-Loire, in Loiret, 150 km from Paris. The nursing home offers a range of benefits and services for the well-being of residents and their families.
This Digital Line tech deployment represents our first overseas installation and was made possible by the support of French bank BPCE and VISA Europe. The project has seen us deploy 100 Amazon Alexa devices into the rooms of all of the residents during the height of the pandemic and was set up and managed remotely.
Its success has allowed for the care home to connect residents and relatives together via the video calling services of the Alexa devices and helped to keep the mood and outlook of the users positive in what have been challenging times for this sector.

HOSPITAL ST JEAN – Briare, France
“TDL will help us change how we run our estate”
The Saint-Jean de Briare Hospital is a local health establishment specializing in care for the elderly and in this capacity, employs a permanent medical and paramedical team, trained in geriatric medicine and palliative medicine.
TDL has teamed with the group to deliver 100 Alexa devices to residents and staff and phase two will see a further 70 devices installed before the end of June.
In addition, the MyHudson skill will be installed across all devices, allowing for the TDL-driven concierge service to manage requests and improve operations.

BROOME PARK – Betchworth
‘Delivering technology to a stately home setting’
Set within 11 acres of picturesque grounds, on the outskirts of the Surrey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Broome Park is one of the country’s leading care providers. Accommodating 56 residents across two buildings, the main house is home to a vibrant community of residents.
The Digital Line implemented a Digital Hub in Broome Park Care Home, turning their cafe into a multi-purpose, versatile simulation space, running our Stimul8 programs.
Using big screens, lighting, audio, and multiple sensory systems we created immersive, interactive experiences including VR and AR applications all driven by Samsung and Amazon tech.

NORWOOD GREEN – Southall
‘Tech should be for everyone regardless of age’
Norwood Green Care Home is set in landscaped gardens, situated in a quiet residential area with pleasant views over the park in Ealing.
The Digital Line has rolled out several unique digital experiences at the home including technology from Samsung, Amazon, Withings, and Nook.
The Samsung Flip-screen proved particularly popular with residents and staff alike, the versatility of the hardware meaning it could help facilitate team meetings in the morning and then run resident activities such as painting and games in the afternoon.
Samsung screens also helped create the travel pod with Nook and Alexa.
